This Just In ...

I have been out of the loop the past few weeks and the blog has suffered ... for this, I am sorry!

Nonetheless, we're back! Here is what's new in the world of wine ...

We had some great tastings the past three weeks - Did you try the blind tasting? How did you do? Only a few folks got the entire wine correct ... many of you got parts of the quiz and we certainly thank you for trying.

Our exclusives are always a great week ... Lots of new items from Spain (The Asensio Crianza), a stellar Macon-Fuisse from Burgundy (Domaine Vessigaud), a perfect summer sipping Verdejo from Rueda (Vina Sanzo) and a few wines using ancient greek grapes grown in Spain. Also, just arriving this week: Pacific Estates continues its run of winners with:
- P/E Pinot Noir (Wilamette Valley, OR)
- En Tiemp Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma)
- P/E Chardonnay (Edna Valley, OR)
- P/E Petite Sirah (Paso Robles) - Open this Friday w/BBQ

Last week/this week was our annual rose tasting with six wonderful options including: Grenache (From Fess Parker's son), Pinot Noir (From Oregon), Sangiovese (From the Sierra Foothills), two Cabernet from California and a Malbec from Argentina ... wow, did we drink some pink this week!

That's all for now ... BBQ and Wine starts Friday, May 19, 2006!

Be sure to Drink Vino!
